Thursday morning group
Leaders: Chris & Jan Bedford
Chris and Jan are keen on following the Church’s vision of leading people into a growing relationship with Christ and as such we will look to help each other mature in our faith. This group will challenge those in it to apply what they learn to their own lives and to those around them too. Our passion for seeing others also begin that journey means that we want to be proactive in reaching out. We will meet on a Thursday morning, allowing those who cannot make an evening meeting be part of a group.
Monday evening group
Leader: Pet Green
Since turning 50 I have found myself lost in a ‘Season of life’ I am a mother, grandmother, wife and only child to my mother. It’s so easy in our ‘seasons of life’ to get lost and place our most important journey in life with Christ on the back burner. I will be researching inspirational women’s talks for us to watch and discuss to help us sail through our ‘seasons of life ‘. I’m looking at holding a group on Monday evenings, times to be confirmed.
Friday evening group
Leader: Rachel Summers
‘Is prayer your steering wheel or your spare tyre?’ Corrie ten Boom.
This group will be on a journey over the next year combining social (discovering local walks together) and spiritual (deepening our prayer lives). We will meet fortnightly in the prayer room at Greenfinch on Friday evenings but possibly some Saturday mornings are negotiable when the days are shorter and we want to walk! There will be an expectation of individual prayer walking around our estate on the weeks we don’t meet. So looking forward to seeing where God leads us on this road trip!
Wednesday evening group
Leaders: Paul & Daphne Block
Our group will spend time looking at the movies and how modern media impacts our Christian life. We will be watching films (a mixture of DVD and cinema) and then discussing these in a small group setting from a Christian context. We will meet on a Wednesday night at 8:00
Midweek evening group
Leaders: Peter & Karen Cogger
Is there a book of the Bible that you'd like to read but never have? Or would you like to know what the Bible says about a specific subject?
As Christians, we know that the Bible should be an important part of our lives- in this group we'll use various resources to help us get to know it better and to apply it to our lives.
We'll do this by getting together, supporting each other and growing in our faith as well as building in social meetings which will help us connect with our friends and introduce them to our faith. We'll meet once a week in the evening which we'll decide later.
Youth Connect group
Leader: Lucy Summers
This is a closed group only available to high schoolers
